In 2015, few anticipated the extent to which Donald Trump would revolutionize American politics. Known primarily for his larger-than-life persona as a real estate mogul and reality television star, Trump’s presidential run was initially met with skepticism by political elites and pundits. However, Trump’s candidacy resonated with Americans frustrated by “business-as-usual” politics, and he quickly cemented himself as a leader whose campaign, messaging, and persona contrasted sharply with the traditional political mold.

Trump’s first presidential campaign broke all the rules—eschewing traditional “polished” political presentation for an outspoken, often controversial, approach that captured national and global attention. His slogan “Make America Great Again” became a rallying cry for millions, imbuing his brand with a distinct, patriotic, and populist message that promised a new era of prosperity for the United States.

The past 2 years is a lot – whether you are an employee or an employer. It’s made many of us think about what we want in life, work and for our families in a way we may not have done so previously.

“The Great Resignation” is one of the most topical conversations for business owners in the past 6 months, and for good reason. Without employees, we don’t have a business.

On Monday, I volunteered to an organization called Open Hands in Atlanta. My intention was to use the public holiday wisely and by giving back, it was a good start.

It’s kind of like making your bed each morning. If you do that, it’s one less thing you have to do in the day, and when you return in the evening, you see the fruits of your labor.
