When steak isn’t just steak

Kingsley Smith is the man behind the very fashionable and famous Kingsley brand. His restaurants are spectacular and centre around good steaks and fresh produce.
His restaurant down at Woolloomooloo Wharf has always been my favourite, so when he recently launched Smith’s on Bayswater on the site of the old Bayswater Brassiere, I was very excited about sampling the menu.
No matter what restaurant he owns, there is two guarantees – good food and a great atmosphere. The other thing about Kingsley is that he treats all of his clients the same. Whether its a first visit or your 10th, he walks over, introduces himself and makes you feel at home. It’s the customer service that too many famous chefs and restaurant owners leave behind when they become popular.
The night menu is very much a selection of steaks, beautiful wines from the Hunter and accompaniments that are all freshly made to perfection. There are so many great salads and seafood selections to choose from as well.
Brunch was so yummy, that I walked away wanting more. They pay so much attention to where the food comes from, how it is made and how it is served.
On this particular morning, I was very privileged to be joined by two beautiful women who both have worked at Marketing Eye at the same time. We are all friends and keep in touch whenever possible. Both young women have gone on to work in family businesses and have succeeded in their given fields. I am very proud to have the relationship I have with both women as I have seen them grow into women that don’t hide behind their beauty or success, but instead tackle the world with their shining personalities at the forefront and their zest for life
