Technology has revolutionized marketing and where it is heading in the next few months, let alone years, no-one knows.

But what I do know is that all of a sudden, we have forgotten something that is really, really important - and that is people are human and the human connection will never die.

Over the course of a year, Marketing Eye writes about 100 to 200 marketing strategies. They are integrated in approach, and incorporate the use of technology, data science, creative, and human elements. I recently was given a marketing strategy from another company that had done some work for a new client, and I literally threw it in the bin. It could be a strategy for any company, and all it did was talk about the technologies that the company needed to "buy" to achieve their goals.

As an entrepreneur, I have found that being a woman has been hugely advantageous to our business and continues to drive our business to new heights as it opens more doors than it closes.

While I have experienced inequality, and yes it has come from men, but overall, it is women that are more likely to hold other women back - and that is fact in today's society.

More to the point, are you sick of doing your own marketing and not focusing on your business? In every business development meeting I have, I always ask “who’s doing your marketing now?” Often I hear that the founder is performing all if not most of the current marketing activities. Nine times out of ten they are trying to: run the business/grow the business, manage staff, manage payroll, come up with new product ideas, and more, all while doing what they can with marketing. It’s too much for a growing business.

Over the years the psychology of color has been a controversial topic.  Marketers and scientists alike have formed connections between the colors and reactions the human subconscious has towards them. However, although there have been many studies to support certain aspects, there has also been a disconnect.  This disconnect between person to person has been attributed to experiences, personal preference, culture, and upbringing.  All of these aspects influence a person's opinion about certain colors and therefore make some studies unreliable from the get go.  However, although there is a noticeable disconnect, some marketers swear by colors and the persuasion they have over consumers.  According to a study done in 2006 in the journal Management Decision, people can make 62% to 90% of their snap decisions about products based on color alone.

Let’s delve into the wonderful world of colors, what do most psychologists say about colors and the power they have over branding?

Like many business people, you have to get up early to take flights or make it to the office to meet a deadline. That is part of the parcel of being an entrepreneur. Some people prefer late nights, but I personally prefer and always have, going to the office or taking off on the next business adventure early in the morning.
