Too Many Options=Bad UX
Hick’s Law points out that increasing the number of choices will increase the decision time logarithmically.
Ok... that sounds complicated, but it’s not. Simply, if you give your users too many choices they often won’t make a decision.
We’ve all seen the person in the grocery store, in the cereal aisle staring into oblivion. There are so many different kinds of cereal it can be overwhelming. The grocery store can be overwhelming anyway, that’s why I won’t walk in one without a list. There are too many choices and it’s easy to stay too long trying to decide what’s for dinner.

Managing Chaos
We all set goals, and strive to make the most of our time. You however, you exceed expectations. You are organized, you are punctual, a true hard worker and then your car shuts down. Your identity gets stolen during the peak of tax season, the plumbing in your home is depleting uncontrollably and your love life conveniently decides to crumble.
Oh how tempting it is to lay in bed in fetal position and compose symphonies of self-pity, but your boss just texted to inform you that your deadlines just got moved forward.
It’s easy to call this a series of unfortunate events, but in all reality, it’s just called life.
Chaos is inevitable but manageable nonetheless.
First step. Stop everything.

Why Everyone Should Fail
What ever you do don’t be afraid to fail!
Don’t be afraid to try something new, because you’re scared that you aren’t going to be good at it. As Nike says “Just Do It”! People fail all the time and when they do they only become stronger. It is because of the mistakes we make we learn what and what not to do moving forward. It goes off the phrase “you don’t know what you don’t know and you wont know until you try”
Fear and insecurities are the single biggest threats when becoming successful. Fear it’s self can significantly paralyze you and your business growth.

What's Your Dominant Personality Trait?
The other day Marketing Eye as a team decided to take the Myers Briggs personality test. What an eye opening experience this was for all of us. We came across the conclusion is that our team is very diverse. Before taking the test some personality traits were obvious, but others were hidden talents that had not been discovered until completion of this test. Not only was the test great for gaining more insight into our co-workers personalities but it was valuable for personal reflection.

How to Get More Likes On Instagram
Do you ever wonder why you’re not getting a ton of likes on your Instagram picture? It is most likely due to the fact that you have adopted bad photo habits. Believe it or not, Instagram isn’t just an app where you can snap a quick picture, post it, and magically have a 100 likes within the hour (unless you’re an animal). How many likes you get on your Instagram photo depends on picture quality, wittiness of caption, use of hashtags, frequency of posts, and of course the content you share across your target audience. Below is a list of 5 quick tricks to help boost your likes on Instagram.

Dress For The Social Media Platform
Someone recently ask me… “how do you tell what kind of voice you use for each social media platform?”
The question really got me thinking. Each platform has a specific personality. All postings should be based on your audience, but you have to think about how they want to hear your valuable information. Do they want to read an extensive study? Would they prefer a humorous anecdote. What are they looking for? An easy way to make that decision is: What kind of attire is your audience wearing when they read your post?”

Why You Shouldn’t Put Social Media on the Back Burner
Often we hear our clients say, “but we don’t need social media,” or “social media isn’t right for our target market," or "we don't need to worry about that now” but we are here to convince them otherwise.
Social media is a powerful tool that NEEDS to be part of your marketing strategy. Whether it is facebook, twitter, instagram or youtube these platforms can be used to your advantage.
